Last 2009 elections, the total postal votes = 4591

  • Received 1280
  • Rejected 266
Percentage polling = 27.9 % very poor

Reasons for Rejection  of Postal Votes in 2009 Elections Nos

Blank Envelope 5
Declaration form not signed 18
Posted from other places 62
Foreign votes posted in India 23
Total Postal Votes Rejected 266

Should we entertain postal votes?...in this scenario......

Highly debatable.

For 2012 elections the total postal votes are

Postal Votes Nos
Foreign Votes 3296
Indian Votes 867
Total 4163

This 2012 election lot of work is done by Kerala candidates and Chennai candidates to mobilise foreign postal votes.

Enabling Postal votes requires highly networked candidates. Can we see this time more % of voting and lesser rejection.

Please wait till today evening.....Let's see the postal results.

SIRC - Today 23rd DEC Postal Ballot may be opened

Folks,

Today Postal Votes may be opened at Sector 62. Will keep posted the latest developments at Sector 62.

Total postal votes in Southern Region are 4163.

Out of which 3296 is foreign postal votes. Balance 867 is Indian Postal Votes.

For CC majority of the postal votes may go for BAK and SK. Reasons are many, one of which is delicate marshaling of votes by both the veterans.

But the biggest challenge in postal votes is validity. A major chuck of postal votes are wasted because of innumerable reasons. The primary being, our dear members not reading the instructions before filling the ballot paper and posting it.

Let's wait folks......for the interesting & rocking last week of the year 2012.
